Today, school dropout is a major issue: according to INSEE, 1 student in 5 is in this situation.
Teachers are struggling too. In increasingly mixed-ability classes, they are overloaded with work and lack the tools to make their lessons interactive.
The idea behind Wiszy: borrow from video games so that revising no longer feels like a chore, and give teachers a tool that saves them time instead of taking it.
Wiszy is also our very first project. While we were building it, entrepreneur friends asked us how we had done it… and that is how Horizon Factory was born.
The challenge: combine AI, teaching and a video-game experience in a single product.
For teachers, the tool had to be easy to set up: no adding work to already full days. For students, it had to be genuinely fun, enough to make them want to come back.
Finally, the platform had to be customisable at scale: adapt to each student's level, work in several languages and run on computers as well as phones and tablets.
1.Designed with the field
We worked with teachers, engineers and education researchers to design journeys that match the reality of a classroom.
2.AI-generated quizzes
Teachers upload their own documents and turn them into quizzes in a few clicks. The AI drafts the questions; the teacher stays in control and adjusts them.
3.A real video-game experience
For students, every quiz becomes a mission: avatars, challenges and rewards mark their progress. Built with Flutter, the interface is identical on web, iOS and Android, with smooth animations on every phone and tablet.
Weekly sync meetings
Every week, a checkpoint let us validate progress, adjust priorities and prepare the next sprints.
Figma prototyping
Before coding, every journey was prototyped interactively. Teachers and students could try the interface for real, and we validated decisions very early on.
Testing in real conditions
As development progressed, test builds went into classrooms. Feedback from teachers and students let us iterate fast on quizzes, missions and rewards.
The product is built with the people who use it, at every step: no tunnel, no bad surprise on delivery.
To deliver the same game experience on web, iOS and Android from a single codebase, we picked several technologies:
- AppFlutter (web, iOS and Android)
- WebsiteNext.js
- Back-end.NET (C#)
- DatabaseSQL Server

Deployed in 3 countries: France, Spain and Vietnam
3 languages, 3 platforms: web, iOS and Android
Piloting in several schools
Less time spent preparing lessons, more time for follow-up. More engaged students and personalised learning. Wiszy aims to become a go-to tool in France and abroad.
